Until 1907 French Somalian Coast used french francs, Maria Theresa talers and indian rupees as a legal tender. The last
two were taken out of circulation in 1943. In 1967 the name of the country became French Afars & Issas, in 1977 - Djibouti.
The national currency in French Afars and Issas was the franc, later replaced by the Djibouti franc. 1 Djibouti franc equals
100 sentimes.
