Namibia, formerly South-Western Africa, was occupied by South African Republic until 1990 - when the government of the new country, liberated
from foreign occupancy was formed. By 1990 the kalahar currency unit was to be introduced, but was not adopted and no banknotes were issued.
In 1993, the namibian dollar was introduced. 1 dollar equals 100 cents, and it's rate it similar to that of south-african rand.
